Bluelight is a leading software consultancy that designs and develops innovative technology to enhance users’ lives. We seek a senior backend-focused engineer to contribute to low-latency API services in AWS and scalable RESTful interfaces, while ensuring secure multi-tenant environments.

You’ll collaborate across teams and participate in CI/CD, testing, and frontend tasks when needed. You will join a dynamic, remote-friendly team with flexible hours, generous PTO, and ongoing education

Formación

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode testing.
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development and frontend contribution when needed.
• Background with large, complex systems.
• Overlap US business hours.
• Great ownership and accountability.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain scalable, low-latency backend services in a multi-tenant environment.
• Design and implement secure data models and access controls (RLS).
• Collaborate on frontend work when needed and contribute to system-wide testing.
