Job summary

ATG (Auction Technology Group) is expanding its team, seeking a senior mobile software engineer to join a collaborative agile team. You will deliver high-value, high-performance features for a high-transaction e-commerce mobile app and own the customer experience.

You will design and develop features, modernize native apps with React Native, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to define scope. Strong React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and testing skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent technical experience in CS or related field
• 5+ years of mobile development experience
• Expert level in React Native
• Experience with Expo
• Experience with Expo Router / React Navigation
• Experience with Redux, Zustand, React Context API, TanStack Query
• Experience with Unistyles
• Experience with React Native Testing Library/Jest
• Experience with E2E testing on mobile
• Experience with TypeScript

• Interest in learning AI-driven development

As a senior mobile software engineer at ATG you will be a part of a collaborative agile team that is focused on delivering high value, high-performance features to our customers through a high-transaction e-commerce mobile application. You understand that quality is something that is everyone’s responsibility. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering representatives to make significant enhancements to our app that will improve the customer experience. Your team is expected to take ownership of the products you work on and actively embrace improving how you achieve outcomes. What you will be doing:

• Design and develop new features and systems.
• Modernize native mobile apps using React Native
• Collaborate early and often with your teammates and other stakeholders to understand the scope of features.
• Contribute to and utilize the ATG design system.
• Help drive the creation of clear stories and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to quality through clean coding and pattern usage.
• Write unit and other automated tests.
• Pair program and code review your teams’ work.
• Document and communicate the things you have learned and built.

• Experience with E2E testing on mobile

• Experience with building for different audiences e.g. internationalization, accessibility
• Interest in learning new technologies such as AI “prompt-driven development” and languages as necessary.

• Expert ability to debug code

Nice to have:
