Auction Technology Group seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and implement scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Go and Python. You will build high-performance microservices supporting real-time bidding, transactions, and global users, with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis caching, and containerized deployments on Kubernetes.

Collaboration across Product, Eng, DevOps, and ML teams is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development.
• Proficient in Go and/or Python with production-grade services.
• Strong knowledge of FastAPI or similar web frameworks.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS) and query tuning.
• .Redis caching and performance optimization.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes (preferably EKS).
• Git and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Observability with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
• RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
• Messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS) or event-driven patterns.
• AWS cloud services and security/auth patterns (OAuth, JWT).
• Testing frameworks (pytest, Go testing) and comprehensive test suites.
• Strong problem-solving; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Go and Python/FastAPI.
• Build and optimize high-performance microservices for real-time bidding and transactions.
• Implement data models across PostgreSQL/MySQL/RDS with strong data integrity.
• Develop caching strategies with Redis to reduce DB load.
• Containerize with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes (EKS).
• Create CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and maintain tests and documentation.
• Establish observability with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus; participate in code reviews.
• Debug production issues and ensure high availability; mentor junior engineers.
