Vertiv is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to drive next‑gen data center cooling solutions. You will own NPDI projects, coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, and deliver high‑quality designs using Creo and advanced CAD.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or product design with extensive experience.
• 8+ years of mechanical design & analysis experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English required (read, write, and speak).
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, products, and safety.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred CREO 10.0 and greater.
• Experience with Sheetmetal, piping, machined parts and assemblies.
• Knowledge of ASME or ISO standards, proficient with GD&T.
• Change order management and Data-entry systems familiarity - Oracle, Agile, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve and prevent problems.
• Detail oriented; excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design and update mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings using Creo, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
• Manage large assemblies, maintain product architecture and configuration control.
• Generate innovative designs meeting performance, reliability, and cost targets for high-density and liquid-cooling products.
• Lead NPDI projects, drive schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional alignment.
• Create and maintain BOMs with configuration logic for customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Service, Quality and Supply Chain to incorporate downstream needs.
• Support prototype builds with hands-on guidance and issue resolution.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance performance and user experience.
• Troubleshoot field issues and drive corrective actions; lead DFMEA, DFM, FRS activities.
