Vertiv Co is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support lead engineers in creating 3D parts, assembly CAD models, 2D drawings, and PMD data for Liquid Cooling products. You will develop reliable designs and maintain BOMs, working with internal teams and external suppliers.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, proficiency in Creo, and knowledge of HVAC/R systems. Collaboration across NPDI, Electrical, and Thermal teams is essential to deliver innovative cooling

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably HVAC or refrigeration.
• Sheet metal design and mechanical assembly experience.
• Reading and interpreting 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to updating sheet metal parts and HVAC piping including refrigerant and hydraulic systems.
• Create and maintain 3D assembly models in Creo.
• Develop 3D parts and 2D drawings and PVZs (3D Model Based Definitions).
• Prepare and maintain BOM.
• Collaborate with NPDI, Electrical, Mechanical and thermal engineers on new solutions.
• Select materials and hardware; communicate with suppliers.
• Support prototype builds, validation testing, manufacturing, and quality improvements.

Job Description

Position summary:

• The Mechanical Design Engineer will support lead engineers with the creation of 3D parts, assembly CAD Models, 2D Drawings and 3D Model Based Definitions, Bill of Materials (BOM) and PLM/PDM data. It is expected to perform tasks with minimal to no supervision and coaching. Will support the Transfer projects developing reliable and accurate designs for Liquid Cooling products.

Responsabilities:

• Contribute to the support of Liquid Cooling products updating sheet metal parts and HVAC piping including refrigerant and hydraulic.
• Create and maintain 3D assembly models in Creo.
• Develop 3D parts and create required documentations 2D drawings or 3D Model Based Definitions (PVZ’s).
• Prepare and maintain BOM.
• Contribute and collaborate with NPDI, Electrical, Mechanicals and thermal engineers to develop new solutions for Liquid cooling products.
• Selections of materials and hardware. Keep communication with internal and external suppliers.
• Support prototype builds and validation testing, manufacturing, quality issues and improvements.
• QUALIFICATIONS

• +3-5 years of experience mechanical design preferably on HVAC or refrigeration.
• CAD – Medium to Expert. PTC Creo is preferred.
• Experience with PLM systems (BOM management and change order release) and use of PDM systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R Systems and Components.
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
