Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to drive next‑gen data center cooling products. You will lead NPDI projects, manage complex assemblies in Creo, and provide technical leadership across cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.

You will design high‑density and liquid‑cooling solutions, coordinate BDMs and BOMs, and mentor the design team while engaging manufacturing, service, and supply chain stakeholders to optimize performance and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or product design with extensive experience.
• 8+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience.
• Fluency in English (read, write, and speak).

Responsibilities

• Design and update mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings in Creo.
• Manage large assemblies and maintain configuration control.
• Develop high-density and liquid-cooling solutions for data center applications.
• Lead NPDI projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Create and maintain BOMs with configuration logic.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Service, Quality and Supply Chain.
• Support prototype builds and resolve issues.
• Lead DFMEA, DFM, FRS activities within NPDI.
• Troubleshoot field issues and drive corrective actions.
