Zillow Group is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer, Backend, to design, build, and operate scalable services powering millions of users across its brands. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery, shape feature design, review peers’ code, and mentor junior engineers in a fast, collaborative environment.

This teleworker role allows you to work from any location in Mexico, with occasional travel to Mexico City for events.

Formación

• 5+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, NodeJS, and Go for APIs and services.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
• Authorized to work in Mexico.
• Strong distributed systems, API design, observability, and operational fundamentals.
• Track record of partnering with multiple engineering teams to deliver shared infrastructure.
• Passionate about setting standard methodologies and raising the bar for systems design and maintainability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead delivery and ongoing support of projects end-to-end.
• Contribute to design of new features.
• Review peers' code.
• Advocate for standard development methodologies.
• Facilitate engineering discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers.
