Jobtailor in Mexico's Jalisco region seeks a seasoned Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications. You will translate business requirements into COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2 solutions and support batch and online processes.

The role requires production incident handling, code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning, plus collaboration with analysts, QA, and stakeholders while following SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.

Formación

6+ years of experience in Mainframe Development/Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, MQ Series, and TSO/ISPF
Experience with production support and incident management
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Responsabilidades

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop and support batch and online applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization
Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and project stakeholders
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices
