Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years of Mainframe Development/Engineering experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications and production support.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise-scale mainframe applications and systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, and related mainframe technologies, along with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and support batch and online applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2. Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization. Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and project stakeholders. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices.

Required Skills

Strong experience in: COBOL JCL CICS DB2 VSAM IMS MQ Series TSO/ISPF Experience with production support and incident management. Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

Mainframe modernization and cloud migration exposure. Experience with REST APIs and integration technologies. Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or Financial Services domain experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years of experience in Mainframe Development/Engineering. Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications and production support.
