Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor for machining, welding, and hydrostatic testing areas. You will supervise shifts, lead teams, and train operators in CNC programming and safe tool use.

You will manage cutting tools, tooling inventories, and raw material stock while driving cost reductions and efficiency improvements across metalworking processes. Willingness to travel to the USA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual 80%
• 5 years of related experience in machining process management, CNC programming, and 3D drawings using GibbsCam with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in personnel supervision and machining usage (labor hours) (machine-hours).
• Experience in fine machining of various metals (stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, bronze, brass, nickel alloys).
• Experience in developing resource management systems for personnel, machine use, raw material inventory, and tooling at break-even points.
• Experience in welding carbon steel and stainless steel parts with MIG and TIG welding machines.
• Availability and documentation to travel to USA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shifts in the machining area.
• Lead the machining, welding and hydrostatic testing area personnel.
• Train personnel in CNC machine operation and programming and in the safe use of cutting tools, develop a system to identify the accurate cutting tool for each operation.
• Manage and control the use of cutting tools for machining and fine finishing on different metals.
• Maintain a system of maximum and minimum raw material stock to supply production without exceeding goals.
• Chart usage times, effective utilization and waste of CNC machines and develop waste reduction plans.
• Reduce machining costs, optimize cost per machining hour (hrs-machine), (hrs-man).
