Job summary
Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office seeks a Linux Administrator (IT Senior Engineer) with strong UNIX/Linux expertise including RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE and Solaris. You will handle hardware platforms from HP, Sun, Super Micro, Dell and VMware, with Ansible automation and SAN/RAID storage in a critical production environment.
The role requires 3+ years with a Bachelor’s or 5+ years without one, and involves cross-location server management and collaboration with IT teams.
Qualifications
- 3+ years IT experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- OR 5+ years IT experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX variants: RHEL, Ubuntu/SUSE, Solaris.
- Experience with HP, Sun, Super Micro, Dell hardware.
- Experience with VMware in production environments.
- Experience with Ansible automation.
- Experience with Veritas cluster and Pacemaker.
- Scripting in csh, sh, bash, python, or perl.
Responsibilities
- Manage UNIX/Linux and Solaris servers across multiple locations.
- Administer physical and virtual infrastructure UNIX-based hosts.
- Configure and deploy hardware devices (HP/Dell/Sun/Super Micro).
- Operate storage technologies including SAN and RAID.
- Implement Ansible automation to streamline operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting service availability.
