Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to manage health, performance, and scalability of large-scale compute environments powering EDA workloads both on-prem and in cloud. You will drive hybrid cloud strategies, optimize HPC throughput, and implement cost-effective cloud bursting with Slurm/LSF integration.

The role requires 5+ years of Linux administration, and hands-on cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Formación

• 5+ years of direct Linux system administration experience at scale.
• Experience deploying Linux workloads on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert-level Linux admin for RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and SLES.
• Unify infrastructure with configuration management for parity across environments.
• Develop script-based automations to capture knowledge and automate tasks.
• Architect and maintain Cloud Bursting for on-prem HPC to cloud.
• Optimize cloud instance selection for EDA tools and HPC workloads.
• Implement cost-governance strategies for cloud compute.
• Use observability tools to monitor workloads and identify bottlenecks.
• Interact with HPC schedulers (Slurm, PBS, LSF) for high throughput.
