SoTalent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications supporting healthcare platforms worldwide.

The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across engineering, architecture, product, and business teams, using modern cloud, microservices, and AI-assisted development tools to drive best practices and continuous improvement.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience designing and maintaining microservices architectures
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
• Advanced knowledge of AWS including ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, performance optimisation, and cost management
• Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions or similar
• Knowledge of trunk-based development, automated deployments, and progressive delivery
• Experience with API gateway technologies and authentication/authorisation frameworks such as OAuth, JWT, Kong, or Keycloak
• Experience with observability tools like New Relic, Coralogix, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data modelling
• Experience with TDD and automated quality gates
• Experience with event-driven and streaming technologies like Kafka
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and services
• Develop and maintain cloud-native, distributed microservices-based solutions
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise reliability, performance, and scalability
• Develop and review detailed technical specifications for complex systems
• Establish and promote coding standards, development processes, and code reviews
• Work across Agile and Waterfall environments
• Design and maintain complex data models with data integrity and performance
• Mentor and support engineers and contribute to their development
• Contribute to architecture, development, and engineering process improvements
• Stay current with emerging technologies and practices
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity
