Job summary

Siemens Energy in Mexico is seeking a senior Protection & Control engineer to manage detailed P&C design for High Voltage substations, aligning with Grid Automation objectives. You will engineer protection circuits, and IEC 61850 interfaces, and coordinate across multiple disciplines to ensure safe, reliable substation performance.

The role includes equipment integration, FAT/SAT support, and BOM development, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Protection & Control experience for electrical substations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, protection relays, and substation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed P&C engineering for high voltage AIS and GIS substations.
• Develop and review protection diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and interlocking schemes.
• Coordinate FAT/SAT and commissioning, and support BOM preparation.
