Job summary

Siemens Energy in Mexico City is seeking a seasoned Protection & Control engineer to lead detailed design, integration, and testing of protection schemes for HV substations. You will work across disciplines to ensure reliable, standards-based solutions aligned with project goals.

This permanent role emphasizes collaboration with customers and suppliers, factory and site acceptance testing, and precise BOM preparation to support successful FAT/SAT and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or a comparable discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Protection & Control for electrical substations.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE/IEC standards and protective relay technology.

Responsibilities

• Detail protection and control design for high‑voltage substations.
• Coordinate equipment integration and interfaces with SAS/SCADA systems.
• Support project execution from FAT through commissioning and testing.
