Job summary

Jonas Software is seeking a mid-senior platform engineer to lead a migration from legacy stacks to modern architectures. You will drive AI-powered feature integration, collaborate with leadership on priorities, and set coding standards for a lean engineering team.

You will own external API integrat ions, maintain uptime during migrations, and shape the technical roadmap across hospitality, healthcare, and other verticals. Excellent ownership and communication are required.

Qualifications

Experience replatforming legacy systems to modern architectures.
Regular use of AI coding tools in day-to-day development.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and relational database schemas.
Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of the new platform architecture from legacy systems to modern stacks.
Build and integrate AI-powered features into the core product.
Collaborate directly with leadership on architecture decisions, technical priorities, and product roadmap.
Set code standards, review practices, and engineering culture on a small team.
Own integrations with external APIs and third-party systems.
Maintain business continuity during migration phases with minimal downtime.
