Job summary

Jonas Software in Mexico City is seeking a hands-on IT and security lead to own our end-to-end IT and security function. You will manage a complex environment, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure operational continuity while protecting the business.

The role requires deep technical ownership, strong Linux skills, cloud experience, and the ability to collaborate with local and parent-company stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) is required.
• Hands-on experience with legacy Unix environments is a must.
• Experience managing cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) is required.
• Azure administration: Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and M365.
• Network security with firewalls and VPNs; secure architecture.
• Endpoint security management (MDM/EDR) via CrowdStrike or similar.
• Experience with API integrations and API management.
• Proven leadership in infrastructure migrations or modernization projects.
• Security policy design, backup/DR planning, and testing.
• Strong Spanish writing; English is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and harden legacy Unix/Linux environments while maintaining stability.
• Lead infrastructure migrations and modernization including cloud environments.
• Define, document, and implement IT and information security policies.
• Administer Azure tenant and Microsoft 365 suite including Entra ID, Intune, Defender.
• Oversee endpoint security across the workforce and vendor management.
• Enforce MFA and access controls across systems and users.
• Design, implement and test backup and disaster recovery practices.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and API integrations.
• Produce security reporting for local and parent-company stakeholders.
