Job summary

HSBC Group is seeking an experienced Surveillance Analyst in Mexico City to identify and manage conduct and financial crime risks. You will review alerts, integrate surveillance across business lines, and collaborate with Product Management, Transformation, and offshore teams to enhance processes and data usage.

The role requires strong knowledge of financial markets, analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial markets and traded products.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential forms of staff or counterparty misconduct or market abuse.
• Determine if surveillance can identify issues with current systems, processes, people and data sets.
• Prioritize development of systems and processes to identify misconduct across business lines.
• Input into and track development of new surveillance capabilities.
• Review alerts after initial filtering and ensure escalation and resolution of findings.
• Support expanding offshoring functions and improve alert generation efficiency.
