Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking an experienced surveillance professional to join our Global Service Center in Mexico City. The role focuses on implementing conduct surveillance and analytics to identify market abuse and misconduct across business lines.

You will review alerts, analyze trading activity, and contribute to the design and testing of new surveillance processes. You will act as a subject matter expert, challenge design, and ensure the end product meets Surveillance team requirements

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial markets and traded products.
• Proficiency in English is essential for communication with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to review alerts and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; well-developed organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify new forms of staff or counterparty misconduct or market abuse.
• Determine if identified risks can be detected with current surveillance systems and data.
• Prioritize development of systems, processes, and data needs in liaison with Product Management.
• Input into and track development of new surveillance capabilities.
• Review alerts after Level 1 filtering and ensure proper escalation and resolution.
• Support and guide the expanding offshoring function.
• Analyze alerts holistically to improve surveillance effectiveness and efficiency.
• Conduct investigations requested by Regulators and senior management; escalate material findings.
• Prepare regular Management Information reports for key internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with front office and support function stakeholders.
