Job summary

ALTEN Mexico is hiring a skilled FEA Analyst to contribute to the Iron Air Battery project. You will perform advanced finite element analyses for structures, shock, vibration, and durability to ensure performance and safety of mechanical, thermal, and airflow components. Remote work is available for this role.

Requirements include 3+ years in structural FEA and hands-on experience with FEA tools. Strong communication and design-translation skills are essential for this role in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years for analyst or 6+ years for senior analyst in structural FEA.
• Hands-on experience with a recognized FEA pre/post processor and solver.
• Topology and sizing optimization experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics of materials, dynamics, vibration, fatigue, and engineering validation.
• Meshing, idealization, boundary conditions, load-case definition, material models, and model quality checks.
• Correlation or validation of models using available test or historical data.
• Design optimization and clear translation of CAE findings into actionable design changes.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, or validate structural models for pack structures, roof/base skid, cell hardware, and plastic or scrubber components.
• Evaluate material reduction and structural margin while protecting requirements.
• Perform shock, vibration, stiffness, stress, and durability assessments as applicable.
• Document assumptions, load cases, mesh quality, results, limitations, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with designers to iterate geometry and support verification planning.
