ALTEN Mexico is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical development of an Iron Air Battery project. You will own design packages, drive DFX, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires 7+ years in mechanical product development, advanced SolidWorks, PLM experience, and strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and DFMEA. Remote work options and international collaboration are supported.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
• 7+ years of mechanical product-development experience with ownership of complex assemblies.
• Experience from concept to production release and support.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and EC/CR processes.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations across teams.
• Advanced SolidWorks capability and PLM/PDM release processes.
• Proven cost-reduction, supplier collaboration, and technical leadership.
• Ability to integrate CAD/CAE results with supplier feedback and costs.
• Experience with structures, sheet metal, welded assemblies, piping, plastics, tolerancing, and mechanical interfaces.
• English level B2–C1.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical work packages and allocate activities across the team.
• Develop and review redesign concepts for pack structures and hardware.
• Drive design reviews, problem resolution, supplier DFM discussions, and cross-functional decisions.
• Ensure designs maintain interfaces and backward compatibility where required.
• Review CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analyses, BOMs, cost estimates, and validation plans.
• Coordinate FEA, CFD, plastics, materials, electrical, manufacturing, and sourcing inputs.
