Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced procurement professional in Mexicali to manage supplier relationships, control demand and commitments, and ensure on-time delivery. The role emphasizes RFQ processing, contract performance monitoring, and cross-functional project work within procurement.

The ideal candidate has a university degree with extensive English proficiency and a background in aerospace procurement, with strong data management and Excel/SAP skills.

Formación

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.

Responsabilidades

• Execute buyer standard work to manage a group of suppliers, using appropriate systems and tools to place demand, confirm commits and ensuring on time delivery
• Process and maintain RFQs, purchase orders and portal activities for suppliers
• Analyze and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Manage the supplier relationship and improvement activities, looking for trends and managing supplier risks, using procurement tools
• Review critical shortages with stakeholders and work with suppliers to improve deliveries, follow up on actions to effectively close gaps
• Work with suppliers to create a Line of Balance (LOB) and WIP Tracker to indicate part recovery status as needed
• Analyze root causes to lead resolution to a permanent fix that will mitigate a repeat of overdue deliveries
• Drive delivery improvement plans such as overdue reduction, and buffer compliance
• Work with BU to Eliminate risks and roadblocks such as outstanding SRIs, CADs, and FAIs that prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets, and elevate as needed
• Take initiative in leading alternate solutions to resolve operational challenges
• Work cross-functionally on projects in support of procurement.
• Utilize project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers
