Placements24 is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a remote-first team in Mexico. You will design, develop, test, and debug embedded software for hardware products, collaborating with hardware engineers and software peers to deliver robust solutions.

Requirements include 5+ years in embedded development, strong C/C++, and RTOS experience (FreeRTOS/Zephyr/VxWorks). Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M/ESP32 and communication protocols is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or VxWorks.
• Familiarity with microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex-M, ESP32).
• Experience with debugging tools (JTAG) and logic analyzers.
• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, CAN protocols.
• Git experience and version control.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement embedded software in C/C++.
• Develop and optimize RTOS and bare-metal code.
• Work with microcontrollers and SoCs across embedded platforms.
• Create unit and integration tests for embedded software.
• Debug complex issues using development tools and oscilloscopes.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on system requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
• Document designs, requirements, and test procedures.
• Analyze system performance and identify optimizations.
• Stay current with embedded systems advancements.
