Job summary

Resideo is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to join the Product Development team in Chihuahua, MX. You will design, develop, and sustain embedded firmware for high-volume electronic control products, collaborating across hardware and software peers to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining firmware, supporting production, driving cost reductions, and working with cross-functional teams on requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for high-volume production.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong experience in RTOS, multitasking environments, and Embedded Linux
• Solid hardware and low-level software knowledge (BSP, HAL, bootloaders) and related components
• Familiar with communication protocols (RS-232, SPI, I2C) and debugging tools
• Experience with SDLC and development tools (Bitbucket, Jira, VS, IAR, Bamboo, SonarQube)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain embedded firmware for electronic control products.
• Provide ongoing production support and troubleshoot issues to improve reliability.
• Drive product improvements and cost-reduction through firmware optimization.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Define product requirements with Marketing, Operations, and Sourcing teams.
