Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Desarrollador de Firmware para Sistemas Embebidos to join the Torreón-based team. You will design, implement, and test embedded firmware in C/C++ for next-generation devices, collaborating with hardware and software peers to ensure robust integration.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in embedded firmware, experience with MCU families, RTOS, and debugging tools, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with MCU architectures (ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR).
• Familiarity with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or VxWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems using C and C++.
• Implement drivers and libraries for various hardware peripherals (sensors, communication interfaces, memory).
• Develop and manage RTOS for embedded applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and integration.
• Write and run unit and integration tests to ensure firmware reliability and performance.
• Debug complex hardware and software issues using debugging tools.
• Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and power consumption.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards.
