Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead a team of mechanical design engineers in developing high-quality products, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, and providing technical guidance.

You will work within BA NPI Engineering Group to design and sustain electromechanical lockboxes and access-control solutions, driving product development from requirements gathering through release while ensuring manufacturability and robustness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in cross functional product development.
• 5+ years of experience with 3D modeling and simulation (FEA, thermodynamics, or optical systems).
• Experience leading development of multiple products through full lifecycle in a structured process.
• Strong communication and coordination with Regulatory, Quality, Service, Marketing and other teams.
• English proficiency and experience with SolidWorks/Catia/Creo.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical design engineers to develop high-quality products.
• Drive development from requirements through design, test, and release.
• Apply 3D/2D CAD and simulations for design evaluation and prototyping.
• Lead cross-functional teams in electromechanical product development.
• Oversee design for manufacturability and lifecycle durability.
• Coordinate with suppliers for tooling readiness and manufacturing readiness.
