Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Advanced CAD Specialist to deliver high-precision CAD designs and support engineering teams on a hybrid schedule.

You will mentor junior CAD designers and collaborate across functions to ensure manufacturability and regulatory compliance while contributing to project documentation and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or related field.
• 5+ years of CAD design and drafting experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or CATIA.
• Experience in plastic injection molding processes.
• Experience in consumer electronics, automotive or industrial hardware.
• Familiar with regulatory compliance and testing (IEC, UL, RoHS).
• Design for Manufacturability and Design for Testability.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality designs.
• Ability to mentor junior CAD designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

As a Sr Advanced CAD Specialist here at Honeywell, you will provide advanced CAD expertise, support engineering teams, and drive innovation in design processes. Your work will ensure high-quality, efficient product development.

You will report directly to our Engineering Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Mexico City location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the product development process by providing high-quality CAD designs that enhance product performance and manufacturability, ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and business success.

• Experience in consumer electronics, automotive, or industrial hardware.

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and testing.

• Passion for innovation and mentoring engineering talent.

• Ensure designs meet regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, UL, RoHS).

• Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.

• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality designs.
