Job summary

Sezzle is hiring a hands-on Senior Security Engineer, Detection & Response to strengthen security operations across cloud infrastructure and applications. You will run SIEM/XDR, develop detection rules, investigate incidents, and lead remediation with engineering teams.

You will report to the Director of Information Security and work in a fast-paced fintech environment, applying AI-enabled workflows to improve detection and response efficiency.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security or infra engineering with cloud production systems.
• Hands-on with SIEM for detection engineering, monitoring and IR.
• Strong AWS, Linux and Kubernetes knowledge and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate and mature SIEM/XDR capabilities and workflows.
• Design detection strategies for suspicious activity across systems.
• Lead incident investigations and long-term remediation across cloud infra.
• Run proactive threat hunts and manage vulnerability processes.
• Coordinate with engineering to remediate true positives and findings.
