Sezzle is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Security Platform, to own the platform used by the security team for discovering, scanning, triaging and routing findings. You will design and run services in Go and Python on Kubernetes, build an NATS-based event bus, and harden CI gates across GitLab CI.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, and agentic workflows to empower engineers with fast, reliable security tooling, while contributing to threat modeling and on-call rotations.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend development with Go and Python.
• Experience building event-driven or message-based systems (NATS, Kafka).
• CI/CD tooling experience; GitLab CI at fleet scale is a strong plus.
• Web application security knowledge; know OWASP Top 10 in code.
• Experience with SAST, SCA, and secret scanning tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate security engineering services in Golang and Python on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Own the event-driven platform between security services and the delivery of findings, inventory changes, and alerts.
• Integrate scanners, finding system of record, tickets, and metrics end-to-end for visibility.
• Own delivery of security gates including SAST, SCA, secret detection, and container/IaC scanning.
• Build agentic security workflows and CI review agents used by other engineers.
• Create triage-to-remediation automation with context for reproduction and fix guidance.
• Participate in threat modeling and secure design reviews for services and pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations for the services you own.
