Sezzle in Mexico (remote) is looking for a hands-on Senior Security Engineer, Detection & Response to strengthen security operations across cloud infrastructure and applications. You will own SIEM/XDR, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat hunting to protect data and systems.

The role reports to the Director of Information Security and collaborates with platform engineers, leveraging AI-assisted workflows and on-call rotations.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in security, software, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud-based production systems.
• Experience with SIEM platforms for detection engineering, monitoring, and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes infrastructure and security practices.

Responsabilidades

• Build, operate, and mature SIEM/XDR capabilities, including log ingestion, detection rule development, alert tuning, and investigation workflows
• Design and implement detection strategies for suspicious activity using cloud telemetry
• Extend audit coverage across Kubernetes, databases, SSO, and access-path telemetry
• Investigate and respond to security incidents across cloud infrastructure and applications
• Lead root-cause analysis and drive long-term fixes
• Run proactive threat hunts across cloud and identity planes
• Oversee vulnerability management including scans, triage, and remediation coordination
• Triage and validate external security findings (e.g., bug bounty) and coordinate remediation
