Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a design engineer to identify design solutions and ensure timely release of designs to production. You will work with PLM systems, create CAD models, and apply GD&T and DFMEA methodologies.

The role requires collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and installation teams to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable components for retrofit projects in the commercial vehicle space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred)
• 2+ years of design engineering experience
• Experience with PLM/CAD/DFMEA is a plus
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analysis is expected

Responsibilities

• Identify design solutions and lead releases to production
• Create and manage BOMs, document control, and change requests
• Create and check 3-D CAD models and drawings
• Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack-ups
• Validate designs via analyses like stress/fatigue and dynamic simulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and manufacturing
