Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our client in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. You will build and deploy advanced statistical models, perform exploratory analyses, and guide business decisions through data-driven insights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, design experiments, mentor junior researchers, and ensure data quality across the analytics lifecycle. This on-site role offers growth in a dynamic, data-centric team.

Qualificações

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Experience with SQL and working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting complex information to diverse audiences in San Luis Potosí.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with big data technologies is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement sophisticated statistical and machine learning models to address business challenges.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets.
• Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
• Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models and insights into production systems.
• Identify new data sources and analytical opportunities to enhance business value.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, ML, and AI.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analytical process.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
