Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our client in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. You will build and deploy advanced statistical models, perform exploratory analyses, and guide business decisions through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Experience with SQL and working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting complex information to diverse audiences in San Luis Potosí.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with big data technologies is a plus.
