AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. The role focuses on auditing AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL pipeline decisions in an advisory capacity, with emphasis on SageMaker-based MLOps, Claude Code usage, and engineering standards.

Formación

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience with ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS (Postgres), S3, SageMaker, EventBridge, VPC/ALB/CloudFront, IAM.
• Fluency with Infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
• Proven track record designing or auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance (e.g., Alembic for schema/version control, environment separation, release gating).
• Strong data engineering depth to advise on ETL/ingestion architecture (managed tools vs. custom builds).
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted/LLM-assisted development workflows (Claude Code) from engineering-quality and cost-governance perspectives.
• Comfortable in a part-time advisory capacity (50% down to 25%), with strong mentoring and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Audit the current AWS architecture across live applications (ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, SageMaker).
• Review CI/CD process and SDLC governance; propose environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for PR generation and automated reviews.
• Provide early technical opinions on ETL/data ingestion architectures (managed vs. custom).
• Mentor the infrastructure build team on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and data engineering best practices.
• Set recommendations and technical direction from audit findings to leadership.
• Report findings and recommendations to leadership with risk and readiness framing.
