AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions. You will review SageMaker-based pipelines, mentor the team, and compare managed tools with custom builds. This advisory role focuses on engineering standards and cost governance.

You will report findings to leadership and shape technical direction, balancing practical delivery with risk management in a dynamic environment.

Formación

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS Postgres, S3, VPC).
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture decisions.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted / LLM workflows (Claude Code) for quality and cost.
• Part-time advisory capacity with clear mentoring of engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Audit the current AWS architecture across live applications (ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront).
• Review CI/CD processes and SDLC governance, including environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for code generation and automated reviews.
• Provide early technical opinions on ETL/data-ingestion architecture (managed vs custom).
• Mentor the build/infra team in AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and data practices.
• Recommend changes and set technical direction; report to leadership on risk and readiness.
