Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics organization. You will bridge raw data systems and the agentic layer powering intelligent customer interactions, architecting and scaling data pipelines and graphs to support AI-powered agents in real time.

In this senior IC role, you will collaborate across engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure data quality, latency, and reliability while embedding AI tools into daily workflows and delivering secure,

Qualifications

6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or closely related role.
Proficiency in data modelling, data graphs, and robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow and dbt.
Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, AWS Neptune) to support interconnected data structures.
Strong command of Python, SQL, and Spark.

Responsibilities

Design and build data architecture and catalog for AI consumption and human augmentation.
Build on top of identity graphs to power agentic systems and real-time insights.
Ensure data quality, latency, and freshness across data pipelines.
Collaborate with engineering, product, decision science, and data science teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Lead automation of data delivery pipelines and integrate with internal/external data sources.
Develop production-grade software with modern engineering practices and AI tooling.
Review code for quality, security, and performance.
Participate in on-call rotation to triage production data issues.
