Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Junior to provide L2/L3 production support for MDM applications in Mexico City. You will monitor health, triage issues, and improve data pipelines with Java, Python, and REST APIs.

You’ll design, code, test, and deploy enhancements while adopting AI-assisted development tools to speed up bug fixing, testing, and incident resolution. Strong ownership and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of relevant software engineering, data engineering, enterprise application support, or maintenance experience.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex production data systems and application issues.
• Practical experience with object-oriented programming (Java or Python) and RESTful API development/integration.
• Solid experience with database management, SQL scripting, data modeling, and diagnosing complex data anomalies.
• Experience leveraging modern AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Strong understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on exposure to enterprise integration patterns, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), ETL/ELT workflows, or streaming technologies (Kafka).
• Solid communication skills and ownership of operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide active L2/L3 production support for MDM applications and monitor system health.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve production bugs and data pipeline failures with root-cause analysis.
• Design, code, test, and deploy feature enhancements and automation across MDM pipelines, APIs, and workflows.
• Learn and apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate bug fixing and test generation.
• Maintain end-to-end data integrations, API orchestration services, and Airflow workflows.
• Support data quality validation, data stewardship workflows, and third-party data enrichments.
• Write clean Java/Python, REST APIs, SQL scripts, and automated unit tests.
