Job summary

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. We seek a Principal Clinical Data & EDC Programmer to lead CDMS programming and analytics solutions in a remote/Hybrid setup across Mexico, Colombia, Canada and the United States.

You will collaborate with data managers, project managers and biostatisticians, mentoring junior programmers and advancing automation in trials. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of EDC programming are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of EDC programming experience with Medidata Rave and/or Veeva.
• Strong SQL and/or SAS skills for vendor data imports or DM outputs.
• Experience leading studies and mentoring junior programmers.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration in fast-paced teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Bid defense experience is preferred.
• R and Python programming experience preferred.
• Remote/hybrid work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain programming for CDMS (Rave/Veeva) and data outputs.
• Create external vendor data handling programs using SAS, R, SQL.
• Extract data from CDMS and build data transfer programs.
• Collaborate with data managers, PMs, and biostatisticians to integrate solutions.
• Serve as primary contact for study setup and programming questions.
• Mentor and train other programmers and share knowledge.
• Lead innovations in analytics, automation, and processes.
