Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Reynosa, Mexico, is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage strategic and day-to-day procurement for the Controls business unit.

The role focuses on ensuring material availability, supply continuity, cost competitiveness and reliable execution. You will act as the primary interface with suppliers, lead RFQ processes, negotiate terms, and drive supplier performance across delivery, quality, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in procurement or sourcing in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary procurement interface with suppliers to drive performance.
• Lead RFQ processes and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality, and cost metrics.
• Support NPI and material readiness for launches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on category strategies.
