Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Buyer in the San Pedro Garza Garcia area to partner with engineering and business units in indirect procurement. You will lead RFx events, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings while ensuring timely sourcing for NPI programs and manufacturing operations.

The role requires strong English skills, 6+ years in procurement, and hands-on experience with SAP and Excel. On-site in Mexico with a focus on growth and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel.
• APICS/CPSM training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFx development and supplier selection.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance and relationships.
• Conduct spend and market analysis to identify cost savings.
• Drive trade working capital improvements and payment term optimization.
• Support NPI projects by enabling engineering sourcing and contracting.
• Ensure compliance with procure-to-pay processes and governance.
