Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to lead analysis and documentation for digital transformation initiatives, with emphasis on eCommerce platforms and CMS solutions. You will translate business needs into actionable specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive Agile/Scrum projects in a global environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, strong data analysis, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, CS, or related field; master's preferred.
• 3+ years as a Business Analyst in digital transformation.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms (SAP Commerce, Magento, Shopify, CommerceTools).
• Experience with CMS tools (Contentful, Contentstack, WordPress, or equivalents).
• Leads requirements gathering for complex systems and writes clear specifications.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum and working in Agile environments.
• Strong data analysis and ability to translate data into insights.
• Experience with BPMN and workflow diagramming.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in JIRA/Confluence/Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business requirements for digital transformation projects.
• Engage stakeholders to convert objectives into functional/technical specs.
• Map processes, perform gap analysis, design solutions.
• Align business goals with tech by working with architects, developers, UX, PMs, and product owners.
• Review current systems, data flows, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria in Agile/Scrum.
• Contribute to digital transformation roadmaps ensuring scalability and UX.
• Conduct risk assessments and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Lead workshops and meetings to gather feedback and report progress.
• Support testing with UAT and QA to confirm requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Head the analysis and documentation of business requirements for digital transformation efforts, with particular attention to eCommerce platforms or CMS solutions
• Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, to grasp business objectives and convert them into functional and technical specifications
• Perform thorough process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design to strengthen digital workflows, customer journeys, and business operations
• Maintain alignment between business objectives and technology solutions by partnering closely with Solution Architects, developers, UX designers, project managers, and product owners
• Review and document current systems, processes, and data flows, pinpointing areas suited for improvement or automation
• Lead the development of user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for projects operating within an Agile/Scrum framework
• Contribute to and help define the roadmap for digital transformation initiatives, ensuring scalability, performance, and user experience remain optimized
• Conduct risk assessments and clearly convey the potential effects of changes to relevant stakeholders
• Lead workshops, presentations, and meetings to collect feedback, align on project objectives, and share ongoing progress updates
• Support testing phases, confirming that business requirements are satisfied through thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage)
• At least 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst with a focus on digital transformation initiatives
• Substantial experience with eCommerce platforms, such as SAP Commerce, Magento, Shopify, or CommerceTools
• Working knowledge of CMS tools, including Contentful, Contentstack, WordPress, or equivalent platforms
• Demonstrated capability to lead requirements gathering for complex systems and produce clear, actionable specifications
• Strong grasp of Agile or Scrum methodologies, with practical experience in an Agile project setting
• Solid data analysis capabilities, with skill in translating data into insights that inform business decisions
• Competency in business process modeling, BPMN, and workflow diagramming
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience using digital collaboration and project management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to succeed in fast-paced settings
• Good English proficiency (B2 level or higher), with a background in direct customer communication
