Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Engineer 3 to lead brake controls projects for commercial vehicles. The role covers design, development, testing, and release of next-generation brake control products with emphasis on model-based development and embedded software validation.

Expect a cross-functional, international team environment in an agile setting, with up to 25% travel to test tracks and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering required.
• 6+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics or vehicle controls engineering preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical, electrical, automotive experience.
• Experience in the heavy-duty truck, bus and/or automotive market is a plus.
• Greenbelt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Brake Controls teams in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Design, development, application, testing and release of next generation brake controls products and features.
• Define requirements, interfaces, and product testing plans; ensure traceability and ASPICE-compliant processes.
• Perform model-based development and embedded software validation from bench to vehicle.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports and customer-facing specifications.
