Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Backup & Storage Product Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of robust backup and storage solutions across our global infrastructure. You will define standards, drive innovation, and mentor engineers to ensure data protection, availability, and cost-efficiency.

The role requires 10+ years in IT infrastructure with deep backup/storage expertise, strong cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience focused on backup and storage.
• Proven architect/lead engineer for large-scale backup/storage solutions.
• Deep expertise in backup technologies (e.g., Commvault) and storage architectures.
• Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS/object storage (incl. S3) and cloud storage (AWS/Azure).
• PowerShell scripting for automation and orchestration.
• DR planning, business continuity, and data replication knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts.
• Relevant certifications (Commvault, VCP-DCV, AWS/Azure) desirable.
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of enterprise backup/storage solutions across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, and vendors to meet needs and best practices.
• Develop roadmaps, standards, and guidelines for backup/storage systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers in the backup/storage domain.
• Perform performance analysis, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with DR objectives and data retention policies.
• Drive automation and efficiency in backup/storage processes.
• Manage vendor relationships and influence roadmaps.
• Document architectures and configurations.
