Jabil is seeking a seasoned Backup & Storage Product Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of robust data protection solutions across a global infrastructure. You will drive architectural standards, guide technical teams, and ensure cost-effective, scalable storage strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience with a focus on backup and storage.
• Proven architect/lead engineer experience for large-scale backup and storage solutions.
• Deep expertise in backup technologies (e.g., Commvault) and their architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of SAN, NAS, and object storage (S3).
• Strong cloud storage knowledge (AWS S3, Azure Blob) and cloud-native backup strategies.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell) for managing backup/storage operations.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and data replication.
• Relevant certifications (Commvault Engineer, VCP-DCV, AWS Architect, Azure Architect) desirable.
• Fluent English required.

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level backup and storage solutions, encompassing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate and recommend new backup and storage technologies, platforms, and vendors to meet evolving business needs and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps, standards, policies, and guidelines for backup and storage systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, applications, security, and operations, to integrate backup and storage solutions seamlessly.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and administrators within the backup and storage domain.
• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for complex backup and storage issues.
• Ensure compliance with data retention policies, disaster recovery objectives, and regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure with a strong focus on backup and storage technologies.
• Proven experience as an architect or lead engineer designing and implementing large-scale enterprise backup and storage solutions.
• Deep expertise in various backup technologies (e.g., Commvault) and their underlying architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), object storage (e.g., S3).
• Strong understanding of cloud storage services (AWS S3, Azure Blob) and cloud-native backup strategies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) for managing and orchestrating backup and storage operations.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and data replication strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Commvault Certified Engineer, VCP-DCV, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Fluent English is a must.
