Job summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and govern Wintel and Linux server environments across its global footprint. You will drive standards, security, and reliability while partnering with global teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in Windows Server, Linux distributions, virtualization (VMware vSphere), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), automation (PowerShell), and DR planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience focused on Wintel/Linux servers.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, AD, DNS and related services.
• Expert knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu) and services (HAProxy).
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and security best practices for server environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement highly available and disaster recovery solutions for Wintel and Linux.
• Fluent English is a must.
• Relevant industry certifications (MCSE, RHCE, VCP) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex Wintel and Linux server solutions, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, and associated infrastructure components.
• Develop and maintain architectural standards, policies, and procedures for Wintel and Linux environments, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and security requirements.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions related to Wintel and Linux, providing recommendations for adoption and integration into Jabil's existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of server infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for critical Wintel and Linux incidents and problems, acting as a subject matter expert for escalations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all Wintel and Linux architectural designs, configurations.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities for Wintel and Linux server environments.
• Drive automation initiatives for Wintel and Linux infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
