Mastercard is seeking a Quality Engineer II to join our dynamic team in Mexico City. This hands-on role focuses on building high-quality, scalable QA solutions in a microservices environment, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to support test planning, automation, and quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.

You will work closely with senior engineers and learn cutting-edge tools while contributing to cloud-native initiatives and continuous delivery

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
• Familiarity with Agile development and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Karate, Rest Assured.
• Basic understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, fluent English is a must.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to quality engineering excellence.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in sprint planning and contribute to test case design and execution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or Rest Assured.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test environments.
• Execute functional, regression, and API tests to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Support performance and resilience testing using JMeter.
• Contribute to BDD/TDD practices and quality gates with SonarQube.
• Document test results and defects, provide feedback for improvement.
• Stay updated with emerging testing tools and practices.
