The Senior Software Engineer, Backend, designs distributed systems, develops RESTful and gRPC services, and drives platform reliability and performance at scale.

The role collaborates with Product, Architecture, DevOps, SRE, QA, and Security to evolve backend engineering standards and cloud-native architectures across regions including the U.S., Mexico,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience building backend applications in production environments.
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable service-oriented architectures.
• Proficient in at least one modern backend language (Go, Java, Python, C#, or similar).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles (SOLID, Clean Architecture, DDD).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
• Develop secure RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services consumed by millions of users.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from design through production.
• Improve platform observability with logging, monitoring, and tracing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the software lifecycle.
