Coforge in Mexico is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of backend experience to design and build high‑performance API‑based services that scale to handle heavy traffic while ensuring observability, security, and reliability.

The role sits within the Consumer Engagement team, focused on real‑time interactions between car buyers and dealerships, building scalable, modular microservices and owning health and uptime across production systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on scalable systems and APIs.
• Experience with Node.js ecosystem (Express, NextJS) and React.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with a lead engineer to design and develop high-performance, API-based backend services that meet SLOs and scale to support growing business needs.
• Own the health and uptime of business-critical systems, rotating on-call duties and conducting postmortems to drive improvements.
• Partner with product managers, engineering, and infrastructure teams to define requirements for scalable, maintainable systems aligned with roadmaps.
• Champion and implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and security practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Apply architectural patterns to modernize legacy services and ensure comprehensive API documentation for internal and external use.
• Ensure documentation of API designs and system architectures to enable self-service integration for customers.
