RELX's Learning Products team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to design, build, and enhance scalable backend services powering healthcare education solutions. You will own features end-to-end, work with Java and Spring Boot, and collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable software.

You will develop RESTful APIs, model data in PostgreSQL, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensure observability, and mentor peers in a collaborative engineering culture.

Formación

• Backend software engineering experience
• Hands-on Java/Spring Boot with RESTful services
• Proficient in PostgreSQL data modeling and basic query optimization
• End-to-end ownership of features across design, implementation, deployment and production support
• Experience in distributed or service-based architectures
• Strong API design and system integration skills
• Experience integrating backend services into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own backend services across one or more delivery lanes within Learning Products.
• Drive features end-to-end from requirements and design through production readiness.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and quality engineering to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to system and service design, promoting reuse of capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality, reliable software meeting readiness criteria and production stability.
• Build and maintain robust APIs and data models for performance and reliability.
• Ensure observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Mentor engineers and support team growth through knowledge sharing.
