Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. in Juarez is seeking a Sr Automation Control Engineer to advance manufacturing controls and automation.

You will focus on improving existing processes, developing new technologies, and integrating automated systems within a high-precision production environment. The role requires hands-on programming, hardware design, and validation across IQ/OQ/PQ, with extensive experience in Rockwell PLCs, vision systems, robotics, and data-driven process improvements.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology or similar.
5-7 years in Controls / Automation Engineering or related field.
Strong programming experience in C++, C#, SQL, Visual Basic in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Document, define, measure and improve manufacturing processes using industry automation techniques.
Document and validate software processes with unit/integration testing and QA.
Ensure processes and tools optimize quality and productivity.
Research, define, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
Integrate and automate existing manufacturing systems and processes.
Lead continuous process improvement initiatives and cost analyses.
Perform IQ/OQ/PQ validations as needed due to equipment/software changes.
Provide training and mentorship for junior engineers and operators.
